Analgesic Use Connected to Risk of Hearing Loss

Over-the-counter analgesics are commonly recommended for patients with back pain and other minor injuries.  However, some research shows that such usage could contribute to hearing loss.

Investigators evaluated over 55,000 women across a 22 year time span.  They found that frequent usage of aspirin did not have a significant impact on later hearing loss.  However, patients with extended usage of NSAID and acetaminophen were slightly more likely to experience hearing loss.

Given the efficacy and safety of chiropractic treatment, this is just one more reason to seek chiropractic care first. #realignyourthinking  #chiropracticfirst
