TCA Association Welcomes New 2026 Leadership
The Tennessee Chiropractic Association is pleased to welcome President Dr. Richard Cole (Memphis) and Vice-President Dr. Jakob Taylor (Chattanooga) to their new roles on the TCA Board of Directors as of January 1, 2026. They serve alongside Secretary Dr. Trea Wessel (Woodbury), Treasurer Dr. Christy Diaz (Nashville), Immediate Past President Dr. Alison Davidson on the TCA executive committee, as well as our TCA District Directors representing membership across the state.
The slate of executive committee nominees and District I-IV election results were approved at the TCA Annual Membership Meeting held in August during the Southern Chiropractic Conference. We are grateful for all of our dedicated volunteer board members, past and present, for their leadership and commitment to promote and protect the profession of chiropractic. DR. RICHARD L. COLE
2026 – 2027 TCA President
Dr. Richard L. Cole of Memphis, TN has served the TCA board of directors in district and executive committee roles since 2017, most recently completing a 3-year vice-presidential term. A second-generation chiropractor and graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Dr. Cole has provided state-of-the-art chiropractic care for his community since establishing his practice in 1978. He has held prominent positions such as President of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards (2003-2005), Board Member of the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (2001-2005, 2007-2011), President of the International College of Chiropractic Neurology, and President of the Tennessee Board of Chiropractic Examiners (1997-98). His commitment to upholding the highest standards of ethics and professionalism led him to serve on the Council on Chiropractic Education, Standards Development Task Force, Ethics Subcommittee (2006-2011). Since 2022, he has served as a member of the TN Bureau of Workers Compensation Medical Advisory Committee. Dr. Cole has demonstrated his dedication to supporting the TCA’s mission in the legislative arena and a dynamic educator and author presenting on clinical topics. His consistent engagement at the highest level of TCA membership and as a TCA Eagle Society and TCA PAC Fund contributor is a testament to his passion for his profession.

DR. JAKOB TAYLOR
2026- 2027 TCA Vice President
Dr. Jakob Taylor of Chattanooga, TN has served as District 3 Director since 2024 and has taken an active role in representing his profession leading up to his election to the TCA vice-president position. A Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate, Dr. Taylor is Founder of True Wellness Integrated Medicine, a leading multidisciplinary practice specializing in musculoskeletal disorders and physical medicine. He is an experienced small business owner and a dedicated chiropractic physician with an extensive track record of starting and managing successful businesses in the Chattanooga community. He has been a strong voice for the members of his growing southeast TN region and the chiropractic profession across the state. Dr. Taylor obtained his Public Leadership Credential in 2022 through the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University. Passionate about educating the public on health and wellness topics, he is a frequent keynote who is renowned for community speaking engagements on health and wellness topics, advocating lifelong learning as a key to community development. Dr. Taylor has been integral in volunteering his strengths as a spokesperson for the profession, advancing chiropractic advocacy efforts and bringing a greater understanding to our issues. We look forward to his leadership as he continues his service to the TCA.
