Advancements in Upper Cervical Chiropractic: Advanced Imaging, Technique Updates, and the Role of Chiropractic in Neurodegenerative Disorders
Chiropractic has historically placed a high priority on the correction of the upper cervical spine. In the last 100 years, upper cervical chiropractors have evolved in their understanding in the biomechanics and neurology of the craniocervical junction from the days of BJ Palmer’s toggle recoil adjustment and neurocalograph.
This 12-hour clinical program is a comprehensive overview of our current understanding of the upper cervical spine and its role in neurodegenerative processes like traumatic brain injury, multiple sclerosis, and Parkinson’s disease. From this course, you will develop a better understanding of how upper cervical chiropractors are using advanced imaging like CT Scans and MRI to make better clinical decisions and deliver better care. We will also discuss how new research on neurolymphatics and cerebral spinal fluid is being used to measure the impact of upper cervical adjustments. Finally, we will be using contemporary understanding of neurology to create evidence-based bedside exams to better measure the impact of your care.
