#TakeSteps2BetterHealth During TN and National Chiropractic Health Month

TCA Members Participate in TN and National Public Health Awareness Campaign

The Tennessee Chiropractic Association (TCA) membership is joining chiropractors nationwide and all across the Volunteer State this October to observe Chiropractic Health Month (CHM).

During the month-long observance, doctors of chiropractic will encourage the public to “#TakeSteps2BetterHealth” focused on steps they can take to have a healthy musculoskeletal (MSK) system helping their bodies function at their best so they can enjoy their favorite activities.

“The musculoskeletal system controls all of our movements and activities and regulates many other systems” says TCA President Dr. Alison Davidson.  “Chiropractic care helps people maintain good musculoskeletal health and function safely and naturally, enabling the body to operate at its optimum level.”

Chiropractic care is commonly used to treat conditions such as back and neck pain, pain in the joints of the arms or legs, and headaches with emphasis on disorders of the MSK system and the nervous system and their effects on general health and function.  In addition to being experts in spinal manipulation, also known as the chiropractic adjustment, doctors of chiropractic are trained in a wide array of modalities including, therapeutic and rehabilitative exercises, proper ergonomics and posture, as well as nutritional, dietary and lifestyle counseling.

“Improving your posture, and utilizing proper ergonomics in both home and work environments are a few things that can make a big difference in your daily living and overall wellness,” says Dr. Davidson.  “These are simple steps to improve the strength of your musculoskeletal system and set yourself up for success in your goals for better health.”
