3rd Annual Southern Chiropractic Conference hosted by TCA Takes Educational Experience to New Level

Over 600 participants hailing from across Tennessee and representing over 10 different states traveled to the SCC held August 15th-18th in Murfreesboro, TN! This year also saw a marked increase in EXPO participation with more than 65 vendors taking part, as well as generous support from speaker and break sponsors.

With 20 different speakers taking the stage, there was something for everyone – from highly sought-after chiropractor and researcher, Dr. Heidi Haavik, who traveled all the way from New Zealand, as well as Dr. Mitch Mally (live via satellite), Dr. James Demetrious who provided hours for those seeking a Chiropractic Orthopedic Diplomate, radiology speaker, Dr. Alicia Yochum and others!

Added Value Infused Through New SCC Events
TCA also offered more social events than ever, bringing new opportunities to build up our community of chiropractic. Two of these events, our Future Leaders Luncheon and Rapid Fire Lunch and Learn were highly attended by registrants and generated timely discussions of value to DCs at every stage of their careers.

Feedback from the weekend has been overwhelmingly positive, from praising this year’s diverse speaker line-up to recognizing TCA’s work to create a streamlined check-in and scanning process for our registrants!

“The TCA is excited to receive such positive responses from SCC participants both returning and first-time attendees,” said Tiffany Stevens, TCA Executive Director. “It goes without saying that we could not have taken our service and this year’s educational experience to the next level without the hard work of our entire TCA team and amazing volunteers!”

SCC Shines in the Sunset with Southern Nights Social
Of course, the weekend’s events, EXPO and social gatherings were all infused with a spirit of southern hospitality, but our greatest escape was to Arrington Vineyards on Saturday.

What a fabulous evening! At our first ever off-site social event, attendees enjoyed a gorgeous sunset in a spectacularly picturesque setting while relaxing with friends over local Southern fare and refreshing libations.

THANK YOU to all who donated to the TCA Foundation!  Your contributions will support chiropractic education and research efforts!

Celebrating Excellence Southern Chiropractic Style!
The SCC was also a time of celebration of excellence within the chiropractic community! Chosen by their peers, the TCA was excited to highlight the 2019 Conference Honoree and five outstanding award recipients.

We also presented 2019 Legislator of the Year awards to our new Speaker of the House Cameron Sexton and Sen. Kerry Roberts, both of whom spoke to our main educational session for doctors and staff!

Here’s to 2020 and Beyond!
Since laying the foundation in 2017, we continue to strive to establish the SCC as a premiere southeastern regional event for the chiropractic community! As with all TCA seminars, proceeds from the event go directly back to supporting chiropractic.

To everyone who made this weekend possible – Speakers, Sponsors, TCA Board Members, TCA Members, CAT Members, TCA Corporate Members and attendee doctors, students, staff and exhibitors… we can’t thank you enough! See you next year!
