2010 DC West Seminar

Applied Biomechanics and Clinical Posture Assessment - The Bridge from Acute to Wellness Care
February 20-21, 2010
12 Hours of DC Continuing Education
Times: Saturday, 8am-5pm & Sunday, 8am-12pm CT
*CTA 6 Hour Shared Session - Saturday, 8am-3pm CT
Instructor: Steven P. Weiniger, DC
Learn to integrate active care and rehabilitation to relieve pain, rehabilitate injury and promote wellness with Balance, Alignment and Motion (B.A.M.) exercise tracks. Patients understand that as chiropractic adjustments and other therapies clinically restore motion to the kinetic chain, focused and progressive exercises target the 'weak link' to strengthen stability and control. Exercise helps bodies look, perform and age better, but you can only exercise in the ways you can move. Discover the importance of full-range motion, and the effect of loss of mobility on function and mortality.
Exercise and active rehabilitation is the bridge from Acute to Wellness Care that you can teach immediately using "Bio-mechanics 101" concepts to build compliance, results and retention. Whether your patients suffer from back pain, are performance driven athletes or aging boomers, they'll be engaged by exercises individualized for their body. Healthcare is changing, and improving posture and function is increasingly valued by everyone who wants to look good and stay active.
Attendees will learn:
Clinical assessment of common adaptations
Exam procedures and strengthening techniques
Focused motion exercise to train strong posture and balance
Individualized for your patients needs pain relief, athletic performance, and the computer bound; teens, boomers and seniors
Clinical tools and educational models to empower patients
Exercise Rehabilitation Protocol
